How does LNWH abide by OFCOM's regulatory framework?
 "ensure a wide range of services and a wide appeal is available" 
- LNWH is very specific however it is a different genre and appeals to niche audiences 

"maintain plurality in broadcasting" 
- although it is largely middle class, it gives a taste of other cultures and brings in a range of subjects people can relate to

"protect audiences from offensive or harmful material"
- they do swear in other episodes, however this particular one was cushy and not offensive or harmful at all

"protect audiences from unfairness or infringement of privacy"
- nothing majorly personal is portrayed on the show and they do not go into other people's personal business

DIVERSITY AND CREATIVITY IN THE MEDIA - CURRAN AND SEATON 
- people are driven by profit and power therefore limiting diversity
- BBC however not driven by this is they don't rely on advertising 
- by forming conglomerates, there is less variety in ideologies that people will be exposed to

How audiences use LNWH to meet their needs
- needs to have authenticity
- not much using the shows hashtag, could show how it has an older audience
- people who aren't the demographic also relate to the show

Analysis/Audience responses: Serif font is almost sophisticated and would attract female audiences as they would feel this is a sophisticated product. It is also stereotypically feminine. The pink is quite delicate and dainty. The woman in the photo is of a woman who seems to be in her 30s. Her features are very smooth as well as having perfect teeth, and this would make women feel that they must read this magazine to be as perfect as her. (mise-en-scene). Audience Responses: Some women could take from this a type of freedom that they can make their kitchen their own and it is something they can be proud of  The articles are boring and the middle bottom article is quite condescending as it uses lexis such as "girl" which evokes a feeling of weakness Some women may not be interested in this at all whereas other may pay more attention in the kitchen There is a reminder here that you should get the "man in your life" to put it together, as though women need to marry or have a partner It's suggesting that you need to be smart about your money, which is a reminder that women don't earn a lot of money however it is being positive about it The DIY aspect is effective because it shows how women are being made to feel that they can actually do something with their lives  The photograph of a woman showing her son how to cook even though men aren't necessarily the cooks of the house The repeated use of w

What do you think has gone particularly well so far this year? What are your strengths? I think what has gone well so far is that I am understanding more terminology this year and how I can incorporate them into my exams. I also feel as though I am quite strong in picking up the meanings of terms quite quickly, and therefore it is easy to be able to put them into answers. What is stopping you from achieving your goals? What threats might you face, (for example not enough time, lack of organisation, pressure from other subjects...) I am very restless, and get distracted from things easily. This means that I will go through short periods of time where I am incredibly motivated and then after this time I will spend a really long time sleeping and not being able to do work because I don't have the energy to complete it.
